Wisdom Wednesday

Faith 1Faith 2

On yesterday, we discussed how God moved Zechariah from a man of ‘show it to me’ to a man of faith. A man who so trusted The Word of God that he was speaking as though it had already happened. The above two images reflect Hebrews 11:1 in the KJV and NIV Bible translations. While the KJV is stored down in my heart, the NIV speaks my language. Faith is being sure and certain that God is who He says He is and does all that He says!

Aiden Wilson (A.W.) Tozer was an American Christian pastor, preacher, author, magazine editor, and spiritual mentor. He authored more than forty books. The Pursuit of God and The Knowledge of the Holy are considered Christian classics and will bless and increase all who are desiring to BEHOLD JESUS.

I thought Wisdom Wednesday would be a good time share some of his quotes on faith.  Please comment below on the one that speaks to your heart. Be blessed in your pondering today!

  1. The faith of Christ offers no buttons to push for quick service speaks to my heart today. I can appreciate and lean on this today because I am believing and holding on to my faith and I know I can’t push a button to fix what I’m trusting God for today and everyday.

  2. Faith supported by senses. Working in the med school and research institute, I see a lot of believing in themselves and science. No clue that our Lord gave them that capability. I struggle daily with myself to be the best witness to all. So they can see Jesus in me!

  3. #7 Blesses me in my Spirit today for sometimes, I don’t always want to walk the pathway that God has prepared for my feet to travel, but oh how sweet it is to know that when JESUS changes your “Heart” the faith walk becomes much easier & the feet move a little quicker. Thanking God for my journey !!

  4. #4 – There were many times in my life when I activated my plan instead of God’s but through it all He has taught me that faith will carry me farther than sight every time.
