Trust-Worry

Psalm 20:7
“Some trust in chariots and some in horses,
but we trust in the name of the LORD our God.”

Continuing from yesterday’s post…
The safest place to be is “trusting in the name of the Lord our God”!

Wisdom Wednesday is a great time for us to share to some Tozer* quotes on ‘trust’ and how God is speaking to our hearts. Each of the following quotes relate to ‘trust’ is some manner.  Please use the comment section below to share what The Lord speaks to your heart…someone needs your encouragement.
Be blessed in your meditation/pondering today!

  1. I consider everything a loss compared to the surpassing greatness of Christ Jesus, my Lord, for whose sake I have lost ALL things (including and especially my old self born of Adam). I consider them rubbish, that I may KNOW Christ and be found in Him, not having a righteousness of my own that comes from the law,?but the righteousness that is of God and comes from Christ. I want to KNOW Christ and the power of His resurrection, the fellowship of sharing in His sufferings, becoming like Him in His death so as to somehow attain to the resurrection from the dead.
Not that I have already attained all this or have already been made perfect, but I press on to apprehend that for which Christ Jesus has apprehended me! (Whoo-hoo!!) Brothers and sisters, I do not claim to have already taken hold of it, but one thing I do: I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which Christ Jesus has called me heavenward!
Now understand that it is my fervent prayer that you seek Him every bit as much, deny yourself, and receive every bit of grace our Father has for you in Christ Jesus, His Son!

  2. In this moment, :-)…it is #8 – True faith rests [trusts] upon the character of God and asks no further proof than the moral perfection of the One who cannot lie.
I have learned that when I do not see His hand, trust His heart. His plan is never to harm me but to prosper me and give me hope and a future. Thank you, Jesus!

  3. I came into work this morning upset about something trivial. I had lost my key to my work suite and have searched everywhere to find it. I was so stressed about the cost of replacing it and all of the other locks it fits. I read this post and thought, God, you don’t want us to worry and you certainly don’t want us to get so upset about a missing key.. no one is sick, no one is hurt… I had looked everywhere for this key that had no key chain, no identifier, just a plain key.. my office, my car, every jacket I own, every bag I carry. I decided to let it go after reading your message. There is nothing more “I” can do.

I got to the gym and pulled my shoes from my gym bag and what was tied to the lace right there in front of me? My office key. I normally tie the key to the lock I use to my shoe and in my haste on Monday, must have pulled my office key instead. I knew that key came back to me because I let it go and stopped trying to fix it on my own… I learned 3 lessons. Prayers are answered.. even the small ones, haste does make waste, and I need the biggest key chain I can find (have already purchased.)

  4. #6 Surrendering to God brings about many, many blessings. We have lived in these bodies and done it our way for so long, trusting God seems far fetched. But if we ever truly grasped the fruits of living by the Spirit, He will supply more than we can ever imagine. So trust Him starting now, this new year, in January and measure the results in December.
