I Am Who I Am

Exodus 3.14A

Exodus 3:13-15 (ESV)
13 Then Moses said to God, “If I come to the people of Israel and say to them,
‘The God of your fathers has sent me to you,’ and they ask me, ‘What is his name?’
what shall I say to them?”
14 God said to Moses, I am who I am.”
And he said, “Say this to the people of Israel, ‘I am has sent me to you.’”

15 God also said to Moses, “Say this to the people of Israel,
‘The Lord, the God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac,
and the God of Jacob, has sent me to you.’
This is my name forever, and thus I am to be remembered
throughout all generations.”

The Scriptures which tell us about the Exodus experience are some of my favorite for in them we come to know the character and nature of God. Exodus 3:14 is so in my heart as God revealed Himself to Moses and even now, to man.
I Am YAHWEH, Jehovah,
the True God who is the Maker and Supreme Ruler of heaven and earth,
Father, Son, and Holy Ghost
Everything you need.
For I the Lord do not change (Malachi 3:6).”
The same yesterday and today and forever (Hebrews 13:8).”
“I Am the God who was, and is, and is to come (Revelation 4:8).”

 “I Am Who I Am.”
NOT who you say or want me to be.

 “I Am Who I Am.”
“This is my name forever, and thus I am to be remembered
throughout all generations (Revelation 3:15).”

God has not changed and will not change.
He has always been “I Am Who I Am” and will always be.
Do you know Him or a god of your own creation?

John 3:16 (ESV)
16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son,
that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.
