God said, “I will be with you.”

 Exodus 3.12 Exodus 3:12   God said, “I will be with you.”

My thought was to move to Moses’s next excuse on today but God has drawn me back to His words in verse 12, “I will be with you.”.  Moses needed to hear those words and perhaps you do as well. God speaking, “I will be with you.” Moses wasn’t sure about this assignment because returning to Egypt meant he had to face Pharaoh, the people, his past, failure, the issues of life that we would just rather not.

May I ask what you are facing today? It really doesn’t matter what it is…sickness, death, job loss, disappointment, betrayal, rebellious children, unfaithful spouse, lack of any kind, failure…having to apologize, new project, emotions raging, abuse, injustice…our God “is the same yesterday and today and forever” and He still speaks to His children to say, “I will be with you.” You are not alone. “I Am with you aways, even until the end of the world (Matthew 28:20).” “I will never leave nor forsake you. You are mine!”

“Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God;
I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with
My righteous right hand (Isaiah 41:10)”.

  1. He sure does. Last night, I was meeting a friend. We went back and forth about where to eat, because she is from out of town. We finally decided on a location. As soon as I pulled into the parking space and got out… gushing air was coming from my front tire. I said, “Let’s go in, eat, and I can just figure it out.” On our way out 2 nice guys who were headed home to watch the hockey game stopped to help us, even though they were both wearing jerseys and you could tell they were big fans. One said,”It’s okay, we are taping the game.” I made it home safe. **Had I not been meeting my friend for dinner… I likely would have been on my way home on a curvy country road alone when the tire blew… Had I not picked that restaurant… those 2 nice young men would not have been there to help us… THAT is God making a difference for sure.** I thought of you, Pat. I couldn’t wait to share.
