“Now you will see what I will do”

Now-you-will-see-what-I

Exodus 6 (NIV)
1Then the Lord said to Moses, “NOW you will see what I will do to Pharaoh: Because of My mighty hand he will let them go; because of My mighty hand he will drive them out of his country.”

Moses in his sorrow and disappointment has questioned God as to why things are not turning out as he thought they would. He has stated that God has done nothing but brought trouble to the Israelites, “You have not rescued your people at all.”

Such a patient and loving God! So full of grace. The Lord knows Moses’ heart is hurting and He takes no offense. We do not hear Him say, “wait just a minute, do you know Who you are talking to, how dare you talk to me that way.” Instead the Lord gives reassurance and comforts Moses with truth. “Now you will see.”

Perhaps the image below is really what Moses was saying. There have been times that my heart has expressed these same words.

Lord please help

We will look at God’s specific response later but perhaps the above words belong to you right now…or in a past experience and it’s an opportunity to gives thanks…or perhaps God is preparing your heart for what lies ahead. If you have lived long enough, you know that is great possibility that it is all three. Life happens.

There are no coincidences in the Kingdom, God drew you here, on purpose, may His Word perform what He is sending it out to do in your heart…and mine.

    1. Blessings today! To God be the glory! These are some of my favorite Scriptures as I learn so much about the character and nature of our God! Truly, He is worthy of our praise and honor. All Glory belongs to Him!
