Eyes lifted to the Lord

Psalm 121

This is another of the chapters that I just read and place my name in it.

Pat’s help comes the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth. He will not let Pat’s foot slip, indeed He who watches over Pat will not slumber nor sleep. The Lord is right here with me, watching over me. He is my shade. Since there is the need for shade, there has to be a burning sun somewhere. BUT GOD who is the Creator and Sustainer has said that the sun will not harm me by day, nor will the moon by night. Why? The Lord will keep me from all harm, He is watching over my life; as I come and as I go…now and forever! The eyes of my heart on fixed!

Psalm 121
I lift up my eyes to the mountains—

where does my help come from?

My help comes from the Lord,
    the Maker of heaven and earth.

He will not let your foot slip—
    he who watches over you will not slumber;
indeed, he who watches over Israel
    will neither slumber nor sleep.

The Lord watches over you—
    the Lord is your shade at your right hand;
the sun will not harm you by day,
    nor the moon by night.

The Lord will keep you from all harm—
    he will watch over your life;
the Lord will watch over your coming and going
    both now and forevermore.

“If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for all of us — how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things?”
(Romans 8:31b-32 NIV)
