” What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? 32 He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things? 33 Who will bring any charge against those whom God has chosen? It is God who justifies. 34 Who then is the one who condemns? No one.
Christ Jesus who died—more than that, who was raised to life—is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us. 35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? 36 As it is written:
“For your sake we face death all day long;
we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered.”
37 No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. 38 For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, 39 neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 8:31-39
What a great, magnificent, wonderful assurance given from the God who is Great, Magnificent, and Wonderful! Verse 32 is a promise that is well hidden in my heart and has carried me through times when my soul was in unrest. “He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things?”
Just the thought of Jesus sitting on the right hand of the Father (verse 34)…interceding for me causes my soul to dance in victory. How about you? Can you just picture that in your mind, Jesus sitting right beside the Father calling your name and interceding on your behalf? Let that truth get down in your heart and joy rises. It lets me know that everything IS alright!
I know, I know, we like to say and sing that everything is GOING TO BE alright but faith speaks to say, “everything is alright. God is with me, never to leave or forsake me and since He is present right now in my life that means He is present in my circumstance. Everything is alright.” He shall lead me beside still waters and restore my soul. By faith, I have no doubt that surely goodness and mercy will follow me all the days of my life, and I will [I am] dwell in the house of the LORD forever. SHOUT NOW, Bless the LORD, O my soul!
Who could ask for more? Nobody greater! Another favorite verse is Psalm 27:13, “I am still confident of this: I will see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living.” Nothing, absolutely nothing, can separate me from His love and with this I am satisfied! Blessed is the Name of the Lord!
