Pray, pray, and pray

pray

18 Pray in the Spirit at all times and on every occasion. Stay alert and be persistent in your prayers for all believers everywhere.  Ephesians 6:18-19

Yep! This world is a mess!

As believers, I wonder if we get it? So much chatter…so much talking…so much commentary…so much talking to others about the mess this world is in.

So much listening to others: CNN, FOX, USA Today, Wall Street, social media, etc.

Just encouraging us to be faithful in prayer.  In fact, our Lord, through Paul, commanded us to pray at ALL times, on EVERY occasion, and for ALL believers. He also commanded us to stay alert.

It is well past time that we get started talking with and listening to God!

You might wonder what causes me to believe that there is more chatter and talking to others and listening to the media than prayer to the One, True and Living God at this time. All we need to do is look around…the land is not healed. God keeps every promise. He is not a man that He should lie. Man ought always pray, pray, pray!

  1. This is so very true. But I have to admit, it seems that it will take a good long and hard push to get people to pray to the Almighty in this country and in this world! Thanks to the evil one, we are so wrapped up IN the daily affairs of worldly matters that we forget to pray much at all…

  2. So very, very, very true. Just this morning in my prayer time I brought my concerns to God about the sad and sorry state of things in this world. Do we all hate one another so much as to toss God aside and take matters into our own hands thinking we can do better than Him?

I do not know how close you are to what is happening in Charolette, but you, your family, and church family are in my prayers. We all need to come together in prayer to our Great and Merciful God for healing and be faithful He will hear and answer these prayers.

Love & blessings to you, Pat!
