The Lord said to Moses, 12 “I have heard the grumbling of the Israelites. Tell them, ‘At twilight you will eat meat, and in the morning you will be filled with bread. Then you will know that I am the Lord your God.’” 13 That evening quail came and covered the camp, and in the morning there was a layer of dew around the camp.
The reason we shouldn’t grumble is because God is large and in charge and all His ways are perfect. We sometimes don’t understand why we are going through what we are going through but the Scriptures will always help us to remain in faith.
God has purpose, God has a plan, God is at work. The Israelites are grumbling and the Lord says, I hear you grumbling, hold on…I have a plan. At twilight you will eat meat and in the morning you will have the bread you desire. I have purpose for you being in this wilderness with these needs. Remember my promises and know that I am never trying to harm you but to give you hope and a future. I have purpose in this experience and it is that you will that I am the Lord your God. I AM THAT I AM, everything you need, your Provider, your Keeper, and your Protector. I have allowed this so once you come through, you will know me in greater ways and your faith will abound in the truth that I AM God and besides me there is no other.
But now, this is what the Lord says—
He who created you, Jacob,
He who formed you, Israel:
“Do not fear, for I have redeemed you;
I have summoned you by name; you are Mine.
2 When you pass through the waters,
I will be with you;
and when you pass through the rivers,
they will not sweep over you.
When you walk through the fire,
you will not be burned;
the flames will not set you ablaze.
3 For I am the Lord your God,
the Holy One of Israel, your Savior;…
10 “You are My witnesses,” declares the Lord,
“and My servant whom I have chosen,
so that you may know and believe Me
and understand that I Am He.
Before Me no god was formed,
nor will there be one after Me.
11 I, even I, Am the Lord,
and apart from Me there is no Savior.
12 I have revealed and saved and proclaimed—
I, and not some foreign god among you.
You are My witnesses,” declares the Lord, “that I Am God.
13 Yes, and from ancient days I Am he.
No one can deliver out of my hand.
When I act, who can reverse it?”
