1 The heavens declare the glory of God;
the skies proclaim the work of his hands.
2 Day after day they pour forth speech;
night after night they reveal knowledge.
3 They have no speech, they use no words;
no sound is heard from them.
4 Yet their voice goes out into all the earth,
their words to the ends of the world.
In the heavens God has pitched a tent for the sun.
5 It is like a bridegroom coming out of his chamber,
like a champion rejoicing to run his course.
6 It rises at one end of the heavens
and makes its circuit to the other;
nothing is deprived of its warmth.
What a Great and Awesome God is the Lord, my Savior and God! The leaves are slowly dying and yet, beautiful! The moon was absolutely awesome last evening! Both pouring forth the glory of God! They have no verbal speech BUT GOD’s glory is revealed as their beauty is on display. One’s soul must look up and declare, “my God, How Great Thou Art.”
This Scripture says that even the heat of the sun causes man to experience the glory of God. It helps us to understand Romans 1:19, “For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse.”
We look up and behold the wisdom and power of God and that alone is enough to draw our hearts towards the True and Living God! It draws us to not only know the created but to know and behold the Creator! I am so eternally grateful for this great privilege!
The Lord in His wisdom did not give the mountains or the moon His breath or the ability to speak words! BUT He sure enough did me and I am reminded of Luke 19.
37 When he came near the place where the road goes down the Mount of Olives, the whole crowd of disciples began joyfully to praise God in loud voices for all the miracles they had seen: 38 “Blessed is the king who comes in the name of the Lord!” “Peace in heaven and glory in the highest!” 39 Some of the Pharisees in the crowd said to Jesus, “Teacher, rebuke your disciples!” 40 “I tell you,” he replied, “if they keep quiet, the stones will cry out.”
I am determined. God has been too good! “Ain’t no rock gonna cry out for me.”
