His commands are not burdensome

Blessings today! I firmly believe that the overflow of an intimate love relationship with God is obedience. No man lives a perfect life but it can certainly be our heart’s desire to submit and surrender to the will of God. As Lynn Thaler commented on yesterday, “Obedience is not always easy, but it is essential.” One of Charles Stanley’s life principles is “Obey God and leave all the consequences to Him.” He states further, “Obedience may not be easy—you may receive criticism from others or face fierce obstacles and opposition—but it will always put you in a favorable position before God. He will take care of all that concerns you. Stay on the path of obedience and leave the rest to Him.”

I have another old friend, A. W. Tozer, and I would like to share some of his quotes on today along with the Word of God which is the source in the world today! Blessed is the Name of the Lord!

Obedience 1

I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. Philippians 4:13

Obedience 2
Obedience 3

And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to death — even death on a cross. Philippians 2:8

Obedience 4
Obedience 5

But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. 23 For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man who looks intently at his natural face in a mirror. 24 For he looks at himself and goes away and at once forgets what he was like. 25 But the one who looks into the perfect law, the law of liberty, and perseveres, being no hearer who forgets but a doer who acts, he will be blessed in his doing. James 1:22-25

Obedience 6
Obedience 7

Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. James 4:7

Obedience 8
Obedience 9

Then Samuel said: Does the Lord take pleasure in burnt offerings and sacrifices
as much as in obeying the Lord? Look: to obey is better than sacrifice,
to pay attention is better than the fat of rams. 1 Samuel 15:22

Obedience 10

For the [true] love of God is this: that we do His commands [keep His ordinances and are mindful of His precepts and teaching]. And these orders of His are not irksome (burdensome, oppressive, or grievous). 1 John 5:3 AMPC

Obedience 11
Obedience 12

“I will make an everlasting covenant with them: I will never turn away from doing good to them, and I will put fear of Me in their hearts so they will never again turn away from Me. 41 I will take delight in them to do what is good for them, and with all My heart and mind I will faithfully plant them in this land. Jeremiah 32:40-41

  1. Another great collection of spiritual thoughts. I especially like this one from James…”But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.” I’m preparing a bible study on James…

  2. It is absolutely true JESUS said His yoke is easy and His burden is light if we truly understand and follow exactly GOD’S Vision and TESTIMONY in line with the word of God. Our Lord Jesus Strengthens us so our help Comes from God to endure in Christ Jesus.

      1. Amen by GOD’S GRACE we are grafted into the True Vine Jesus as branches, rooted and grounded in Christ. And part of the BODY of Christ the Head of GOD’S Church, as GOD’S Children in Jesus Name. Thank you God bless
