Wisdom Wednesday

1 John 1.9

Blessings today! It is Wisdom Wednesday and today is a blessed day to hear the Word of the Lord regarding God’s great forgiveness of sin which is available to every man. May we go tell someone! Blessed is the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!

2“I, I am He who blots out your transgressions for My own sake,

    and I will not remember your sins.

26 Put Me in remembrance; let us argue together;
set forth your case, that you may be proved right.
Isaiah 43:25-26

Surely He has borne our griefs

    and carried our sorrows;
yet we esteemed him stricken,
    smitten by God, and afflicted.
But He was pierced for our transgressions;
    He was crushed for our iniquities;
upon Him was the chastisement that brought us peace,
    and with His wounds we are healed.
All we like sheep have gone astray;
    we have turned—every one—to His own way;
and the Lord has laid on Him
    the iniquity of us all.  Isaiah 53:4-6

Acts 3.19

37 Now when they heard this they were cut to the heart,
and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles, “Brothers, what shall we do?”

38 And Peter said to them, “Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

39 For the promise is for you and for your children and for all who are far off, everyone whom the Lord our God calls to himself.” 40 And with many other words he bore witness and continued to exhort them, saying, “Save yourselves from this crooked generation.” 41 So those who received his word were baptized, and there were added that day about three thousand souls. Acts 2:37-41

2 Corinthians 5.21

13 He has delivered us from the domain of darkness and transferred
us to the kingdom of His beloved Son,
14 in whom we have redemption,
the forgiveness of sins. Colossians 1:13-14

but God shows His love for us in that while we were still sinners,
Christ died for us.
Since, therefore, we have now been justified by
His blood, much more shall we be saved by Him from the wrath of God.
For if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God by the death
of His Son, much more, now that we are reconciled, shall we be saved
by His life. Romans 5:8-10

Isaiah 1.8

18 Who is a God like you, pardoning iniquity
    and passing over transgression
    for the remnant of his inheritance?
He does not retain His anger forever,
    because He delights in steadfast love.
19 He will again have compassion on us;
    He will tread our iniquities underfoot.
You will cast all our sins
    into the depths of the sea. Micah 7:18-19

Luke 5.20

Whoever believes in Him is not condemned,
but whoever does not believe stands condemned
already because they have not believed in the
name of God’s one and only Son. John 3:18

Matthew 26.28

18 All this is from God, who through Christ reconciled us to Himself
and gave us the ministry of reconciliation;
19 that is, in Christ God
was reconciling the world to Himself, not counting their trespasses
against them, and entrusting to us the message of reconciliation.
2 Corinthians 5:18-19

Bless the Lord, O my soul,
    and forget not all His benefits,
who forgives all your iniquity,
    who heals all your diseases,
who redeems your life from the pit,
    who crowns you with steadfast love and mercy…
Psalm 103:2-4

34 And no longer shall each one teach his neighbor
and each his brother, saying, ‘Know the Lord,’ for
they shall all know Me, from the least of them to the greatest,
declares the Lord. For I will forgive their iniquity, and I will
remember their sin no more.” Jeremiah 31:34

Psalm 103.12

After this I looked, and behold, a great multitude that no one could number, from every nation, from all tribes and peoples and languages, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed in white robes, with palm branches in their hands, 10 and crying out with a loud voice, “Salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb!”11 And all the angels were standing around the throne and around the elders and the four living creatures, and they fell on their faces before the throne and worshiped God, 12 saying, “Amen! Blessing and glory and wisdom and thanksgiving and honor and power and might be to our God forever and ever! Amen.” Revelation 7:9-12

  1. Praise be to the Lord God for sending His Son Jesus Christ to be our sin sacrifice! Amazing love. This is a very good post once again. I hope you don’t mind if I re-blog it…
