O taste and see!

Psalm 34.8

I will bless the Lord at all times;
    His praise shall continually be in my mouth.
My soul makes its boast in the Lord;
    let the humble hear and be glad.
Oh, magnify the Lord with me,
    and let us exalt His name together!

I sought the Lord, and He answered me
    and delivered me from all my fears.
Those who look to Him are radiant,
    and their faces shall never be ashamed.
This poor man cried, and the Lord heard him
    and saved him out of all his troubles.
The angel of the Lord encamps
    around those who fear Him, and delivers them.

Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good!
    Blessed is the man who takes refuge in him!
Psalm 34:1-8

The song is true, “When I think about the Lord and all He has done for me, my soul shouts Hallelujah! Thank you, Lord, for saving me!”

When I think about the Lord and Who I know Him to be as revealed in His precious Word, my soul shouts Hallelujah, so very thankful that He has chosen me! I mean, it is just absolutely amazing that the Holy, Righteous, Pure, Perfect, Supreme, Most High, Sovereign, Omnipotent, Omniscient, Omnipresent God who is Truth, Wisdom, and Glory included you and I in His plans.

Love, compassion, and grace so great and pure that despite our sin and rebellion that He is Savior, Redeemer, Deliverer, Immanuel – God with us, and ! Yes, absolutely amazing!

Surely, He is sweeter than the honeycomb and more precious than silver or gold! Surely, the greatest Treasure that any man can ever have is God, Himself. He is the True Bread that satisfies all hunger and the Living Water that satisfies all thirst!

Day by day He teaches me as I “taste and see” to delight myself in Him…everything and everyone else pales in comparison, including myself. The steadfast love of God is better than life (Psalm 63:3) and all it offers. Yes,I will bless the Lord at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth (Psalm 34:1)” because He is worthy of my love, devotion, and praise. Glory to His Holy Name!
