I will dwell among them

Exodus 25.8a

“Then have them make a sanctuary for me, and I will dwell among them.
Exodus 25:8

Hallelujah! What a blessing…that the Holy, Righteous, Pure, Perfect, Almighty, Sovereign God would desire to dwell among man. Truly, it is mind-boggling especially since He created us and in rebellion and sin, we said, no thank you! But, Praise His Holy Name…it is oh so true. God loves us and despite “us”, He looked beyond fault and declared His love in amazing ways!

Isn’t His love amazing and full of grace and mercy!?! John 1 tells the story of His great love and glory!

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through Him all things were made; without Him nothing was made that has been made.In Him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.

The true light that gives light to everyone was coming into the world.10 He was in the world, and though the world was made through him, the world did not recognize him. 11 He came to that which was his own, but his own did not receive him. 12 Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God—13 children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband’s will, but born of God.

14 The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.

Our Great God became flesh for a purpose, “For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost (Luke 19:10).” 

Not only does He dwell among us but for those who accept His completed work at the cross and know Him as Lord and Savior, God dwells in us. “Shout now – Hallelujah!” Amazing grace, how could it be?!? No greater love! Look at this declaration from 2 Corinthians 6 and 1 Corinthians 3:16:

For we are the temple of the living God. As God has said: “I will live with them and walk among them, and I will be their God, and they will be my people.”… 18 And, “I will be a Father to you, and you will be my sons and daughters, says the Lord Almighty.”

“Don’t you know that you yourselves are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit dwells in your midst? “1 Corinthians 3:16

AND Paul’s prayer in Ephesians 3:

“I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, 17 so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, 18 may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, 19 and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.”  

Surely, His Name is Immanuel, God with us!
He is my greatest treasure!
