Wisdom Wednesday

Psalm 119.105

Blessings today! It is Wisdom Wednesday! I am excited because on today and tomorrow we will continue with a focus on the Word of God. In Matthew 4:4, Jesus said, “It is written: ‘Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.’” God is not a man that He should lie…so let’s read some additional words that God has spoken in regards to His Word. On today and tomorrow, I will share some short writings from a couple of my old friends, Charles Spurgeon (today) and A. W. Tozer (Thursday). May God grace us with many Selah, pause and ponder, moments. Please comment below if He gives you words to share. May your day be filled with joy as you meditate upon His Word!

Word 33

“Every word of God is flawless;
e is a shield to those who take refuge in Him. Proverbs 30:5

Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth. 2 Timothy 2:15

Word 31Word 30

Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. 14 Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, 15 and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. 16 In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17 Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. 18 And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. Ephesians 6:13-18

Word 29Word 28

The grass withers and the flowers fall,
but the word of our God endures forever.”
Isaiah 40:8

God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work. 2 Timothy 3:16-17

Word 17

For the word of the Lord is right and true;
He is faithful in all he does. Psalm 33:4

Singing the old hymn today, “Open my eyes that I might see.”

1.Open my eyes, that I may see
glimpses of truth thou hast for me;
place in my hands the wonderful key
that shall unclasp and set me free.
Silently now I wait for thee,
ready, my God, thy will to see.
Open my eyes, illumine me, Spirit divine!

2.Open my ears, that I may hear
voices of truth thou sendest clear;
and while the wavenotes fall on my ear,
everything false will disappear.
Silently now I wait for thee,
ready, my God, thy will to see.
Open my ears, illumine me, Spirit divine!

3.Open my mouth, and let me bear
gladly the warm truth everywhere;
open my heart and let me prepare
love with thy children thus to share.
Silently now I wait for thee,
ready, my God, thy will to see.
Open my heart, illumine me, Spirit divine!
