In the year that King Uzziah died, I saw the Lord, high and exalted, seated on a throne; and the train of his robe filled the temple. Above Him were seraphim, each with six wings: With two wings they covered their faces, with two they covered their feet, and with two they were flying. And they were calling to one another:
“Holy, holy, holy is the Lord Almighty; the whole earth is full of His glory.”

At the sound of their voices the doorposts and thresholds shook and the temple was filled with smoke.
“Woe to me!” I cried. “I am ruined! For I am a man of unclean lips, and I live among a people of unclean lips, and my eyes have seen the King, the Lord Almighty.” Isaiah 6:1-5

O Heavenly Father, You are gracious, compassionate, loving and kind. We bow before You realizing that You are God, Holy, Righteous, Pure, and Perfect. We bow to give you praise, honor and glory. We thank You for the humility of Jesus who, though He was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped, but emptied himself, by taking the form of a servant, being born in the likeness of men. And being found in human form, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to the point of death even, death on a cross. We bow to ask Your help. Would you so work in our hearts that we too would live lives of  humility, dying to self and walking in Your Spirit? Please transform our hearts, stripping them of all pride and self-exaltation. Give us Your heart, a heart of sacrificial love that does nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above ourselves, not looking to our own interests but to the interests of the others. May our lives be Your fragrance in this world. We need Your Spirit and Your Word to teach, empower, convict and lead us in Your righteousness for You are God, our Savior and our hope and joy is in you all the day long. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

  1. No one can get on their knees without humility. I think this verse speaks volume

    Isaiah 57:15
The high and lofty one who lives in eternity, the Holy One, says this: “I live in the high and holy place with those whose spirits are contrite and humble. I restore the crushed spirit of the humble and revive the courage of those with repentant hearts. NLT
