Hope for today: He humbled himself

HopeIn your relationships with one another, have the same mindset as Christ Jesus:
Who, being in very nature God,
did not consider equality with God something to be used to His own advantage;
rather, He made himself nothing by taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness.
And being found in appearance as a man,
    He humbled himself
    by becoming obedient to death—even death on a cross!

  1. Perhaps you already know. John Kennedy used this passage from Romans in his Inaugural Address. “but a call to bear the burden of a long twilight struggle, year in and year out, “rejoicing in hope, patient in tribulation”–a struggle against the common enemies of man: tyranny, poverty, disease and war itself.” A quote that touches our hearts in a great speech.
