Wisdom Wednesday

proverbs-22-4.jpg

Blessings today! It’s Wisdom Wednesday! I am sometimes just overwhelmed by man’s focus on one’s self. What a battle is fought for self to rule over everybody and everything. Thus today’s post…may the Lord bless and keep you!

So if there is any encouragement in Christ, any comfort from love, any participation in the Spirit, any affection and sympathy, complete my joy by being of the same mind, having the same love, being in full accord and of one mind. Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves. Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others.  Philippians 2:1-4Arrogance 3

Arrogance 9

As it is, you boast in your arrogance. All such boasting is evil. James 4:16Arrogance 5Arrogance 6

Whoever trusts in his own mind is a fool,

but he who walks in wisdom will be delivered. Proverbs 28:26

Arrogance 8Arrogance 7

I therefore, a prisoner for the Lord, urge you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling to which you have been called, with all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love, eager to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.

Ephesians 4:1-3

Arrogance 10

Put on then, as God’s chosen ones, holy and beloved, compassionate hearts, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience, bearing with one another and, if one has a complaint against another, forgiving each other; as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive. And above all these put on love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony. Colossians 3:12-14

Arrogance 13

Likewise, you who are younger, be subject to the elders. Clothe yourselves, all of you, with humility toward one another, for β€œGod opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.”
1 Peter 5:5

  1. To be humble is to know in our inward man that it is all by grace that we are who we are. Humility speaks, but arrogance, pride speaks louder! Neither can be faked! Lord help me to remain humble in all my ways. You are my backbone! What a wonderful reminder!!!! Thank you
